Anna Imogene Petrosky, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Valentine Assisted Living in Beverly, WV. She was born on October 12, 1921 in Rock Cave, WV, a daughter of the late Philip Howard and Belva Gay Helmick Lewis. On April 11, 1945 she married Frank George Petrosky who preceded her in death on September 28, 1963. She is survived by two sons, Phil Petrosky and wife Lynne of Buckhannon and Pete Petrosky and wife Debbie of Longwood, FL; one daughter Jeanette Cook of Buckhannon; six grandsons, Mark Petrosky and wife Alison of Volga, WV, David Petrosky of Buckhannon, and Josh, Alex, Anthony Petrosky all of Longwood and Shawn Ware; two granddaughters, Brittany Cook of Baltimore, MD and Ashley Coduto and husband Brian of Longwood; four great grandsons Christian, Elijah, Dylan, and Tucker; one great granddaughter, Marclyn and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dana, Kay, and Dick Lewis. Mrs. Petrosky was a homemaker. Imogene was a member of the United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon and Extension Homemakers. She was a 4-h leader and an advocate for education at P.S. 27 in College Point, NY. She continued her love of education in her activities with PTA at Rock Cave School and Headstart in Upshur County. She enjoyed her many years of employment at G.C. Murphy in Buckhannon and also enjoyed raising and arranging flowers and was an excellent cook and baker. She was a loving and nurturing mother and grandmother. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Rock Cave Cemetery with the Rev. Steven Meadows officiating. A gathering for food and fellowship for family and friends will be held at the First United Methodist Church following the graveside service.
