Natalie Shomo, 83, of Shomo Road, Junior, died Tuesday morning, October 16, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born August 27, 1929, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Albinus “A. B.” and Arie (Moore) Lantz. On February 8, 1950, she was married to Denver Lee Shomo, who preceded her in death on February 18, 1999. Survivors include one daughter, Kim Wyatt Felton and husband, Jeff, Philippi; two sons, Daniel Joe Shomo and wife, Lu Ann, William R. and wife Brenda, all of Junior; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Shomo, Mallorie Shomo Kennedy and husband, Nick, J. R. (Priscilla) Wyatt, Kimbra Wyatt, Jessice Wyatt (Greg) Summerfield, Ben (Brandi) Wyatt, Justin (Kelli) Shomo, Shawn (Angela) Phillips, Michael (Heather) Hill; thirteen great grandchildren, Tallen and Cayden Kennedy, Sammie Shomo, Paige Rowan, Taylor Broshart, Erin and Jade Wyatt, Damon, Jacob and Tyler Summerfield, Krystina Wyatt, Kelsie Hill and McKenzie Phillips. Mrs. Shomo was also preceded in death by nine sisters, Bernice Bohan, Beatrice Rexroad, Virginia Everson Ervin, Opal Harris, Geraldine Combs, Leona Doerr, Emma Jean Sines and two infant sisters and by three brothers, Bernard Lantz, Bradford Lantz and Randolph Lantz. Mrs. Shomo was a 1947 graduate of Elkins High School and a 1948 graduate of the Morgantown Beauty Academy. She was a licensed beautician for over 45 years. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church at Junior. She enjoyed cooking for her family and traveling with the Senior Citizens. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 18, from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. Pastor Bryan Headley will officiate and interment will follow in the Knights of Pythias Mountain View Cemetery at Junior. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Thursday.
