Leonidas William Reed, 64, of Rt. #1, Flemington, died Friday, August 9, 2013, in United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, following an extended illness. He was born June 24, 1949, on Stonecoal (Bridgeport), a son of Mary Kathrine (Cain) Reed who survives and the late George William Reed Jr. Also surviving are two daughters, Kathern Arbogast and husband Jody, Galloway; Amy Bray and husband, Jerry, Flemington; one son, Jason Reed and wife, Shannon, Flemington; one sister, Sharon Farris and husband, Raymond Jr.; nine grandchildren, Jody Arbogast Jr., Latasha Arbogast, Tyler Arbogast, Haley Arbogast, Laiken Bray, Joshua Bray, Gabriel Reed, Carmella Reed and Leland Reed; three great grandchildren, Sophia Grace Newman, Madison Nikole Arbogast and Bryson Lee Wakeffield. Mr. Reed was a retired truck driver in surface coal mining. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 13, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi. The Rev. Jim Davis will officiate and interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M., on Sunday, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour on Tuesday.
