Obituary: WOODROW JUNIOR NEAL Woodrow Junior Neal, 77, of Rt. #4, Philippi, died Monday evening, September 2, 2013, in the Broaddus Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born October 29, 1935, at New Bethlehem, Penn., a son of the late Woodrow Turney and Willovene Marie (Bussard) Neal. Survivors include his wife, the former Donna A. Delauder, who survives at their home; two sons, Ronald Neal, Philippi, Russell Neal and wife, Sherry, Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren, Samantha Straughn, Justin Matthews, Ryan Matthews and wife, Elizabeth; a great granddaughter, Ava Lee Matthews; one sister, LaRue Keener, Philippi. He was preceded in death bh two brothers, Robert Sherman Neal and Stanley Boyd Neal. Mr. Neal was retired as an equipment operator for King Knob Coal Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church, the United Mine Workers of America, American Legion Post #200 and a life member of Laurel Mountain Post #410, V.F.W. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 5, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 South Main Street, Philippi, with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Bethel Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Barbour Post #44, American Legion and representatives of the W.Va. Army Reserve and National Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour on Thursday. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
