MICHAEL BERNARD FISHER, age 55 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Monday afternoon, May 6, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He had made his home with his brother and sister in law, David and Theresa Fisher and had been in declining health.
He was born Thursday, June 6, 1957 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Greydon W. and Hazel Alice Reams Fisher. He had never married. Surviving are three brothers, William Fisher and wife Sandi; David Fisher and wife Theresa; Harold Fisher and wife Barbara; all of Elkins; four sisters, Ellen Swartz, MI; Elsie Shoemaker and husband Hobert “Bud”; Evelyn White and husband Ben; Janet Isner and husband Jack; all of Elkins, one sister in law, Dora Fisher, Elkins; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are one sister, Reba H. Bise; one brother Robert H. Fisher; and one niece, Stephanie Swartz.
Michael attended the Central School and the Try Center School. He enjoyed his family and friends, watching TV, listening to music and going out to eat.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Friday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 1:30 PM. John Wilbur and Shannon Meyer will officiate and interment will follow at the Beverly Cemetery at Beverly, WV.
