SANDRA KAY NUTTER EDMAN, age 66 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Wednesday morning, July 10, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her family. She had been in declining health for the past eight months.
She was born Sunday, May 26, 1947 at Parsons, WV a daughter of the late Freeman David and Mildred Melissa Poling Nutter. Surviving are her life partner Eugene R. Liby, Elkins; one son, Charlie David “Chuck” Nutter, Elkins; two sisters, Sue Roberts and husband Ed, Talbott Road Community; Linda Nutter, Elkins and a special friend, David Plaugher.
Preceding her in death is one infant brother.
She attended Elkins High School, had worked as a nurse’s aide at the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center and was a housekeeper for many years for families in the Elkins area. She was a member of the Belington Presbyterian Church, was a loving mother, excellent housekeeper and did not know a stranger.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Saturday. On Sunday, July 14, 2013 Mrs. Edman will be moved to the Belington Presbyterian Church where friends may call from 1 to 2 PM. The casket will remain closed at the church. On Sunday at 2 PM, a funeral service will be held at the church with the Rev. JoAnne Glaser officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
