DAVID WILLIAM WAGNER, age 67 years, a resident of the Blackman Heights Community, Hambleton, WV departed this life early Wednesday morning, August 7, 2013 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV. Death was attributed to complications following heart surgery.
He was born Friday, July 19, 1946 at Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late John Emanuel Wagner III, and Dorothy Jane Greynolds Wagner. On June 15, 1968 at Clarksburg, WV, he was married to the former Patty Jane Mearns, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert “Scott” Wagner and wife Jennifer of Clarksburg, David Andrew “Dusty” Wagner and wife Patricia of Hambleton, Johnathan Kelly “John” Wagner and wife Amy of Parsons; one brother-in-law, Delbert Arbogast and one sister-in-law, Lois Wagner, both of Clarksburg; eight grandchildren, Kelley, Slayter, Courtney, Shayne, Isaac, Shelby, Treye and Lyla Mae; one Aunt, Angeline Wagner; four nephews, Michael and Gary Arbogast and special nephews, Tom and Bill Wagner; very close friends, Russell and Pam Amos of Clarksburg; and several cousins.
Preceding him in death is one brother, John Emanuel Wagner IV.
He attended the schools in Clarksburg. He was a Well Tender for Hope Gas and Dominion Hope Gas Co. for over thirty years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at Webster County at the family cabin, with his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM. Mr. Wagner’s request for cremation will follow.
