Rebecca Jean Parks 1926-2013 Obituary
Rebecca Jean Parks, age 87 years, a former resident of Elkins, WV and more recently a resident of the Granville Manor at Parsons, WV departed this life Friday evening, October 11, 2013 at Granville Manor.
She was born Friday, March 19, 1926 at Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Robert D. and Hazel M. Bell Parks. She had never married. Surviving are one brother, William Edward Parks, Norton; and one sister, Harriett Virginia Bennett, Madison, TN.
Preceding her in death are one brother, Robert Lloyd Parks; and two sisters, her twin, Margaret Catherine Parks; and Mary Martha Parks.
Rebecca was a graduate of Elkins High School, was a child care worker and a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends at the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 12 Noon to 1:30 PM. On Thursday at 1:30 PM, a funeral service will be held at the church with the Rev. Kevin Starcher officiating. Interment will follow at the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road.
