Lisa Ann Bright Eye 1962-2015 Obituary
Lisa Ann Bright Eye, a much loved mother, daughter, sister and niece, 52, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2015.
She had bravely confronted and fought cancer, but lost the battle at the Cleveland Clinic with her daughter, family and friends by her side.
Lisa was born October 18, 1962, the daughter of Eldred Bright and the late Shirley Bright. Lisa attended High School in Tucker County and graduated in 1980.
After High School she worked at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and returned later to Tucker County to receive her nursing degree at Davis and Elkins College in 2002.
She was then employed at Davis Memorial Hospital. Her most recent employment was at Fairmont General as an ER nurse. Lisa was blessed with a large, loving family and close group of friends.
She was a nurturing and trustworthy individual, who loved the outdoors, gardening, walks on the beach and was passionate about her dogs, Annie and McGyver.
Lisa will always be remembered by her adventurous, fun loving spirit and boisterous laugh.
Lisa is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend, Jessica Eye of Farmington, her father, Eldred Bright; Aunt, Virginia Kyle; Sisters, Susan Garcia, Beverly Brown, Lois Smith, Michelle Draper; Brother, Eldred ‘Kipp’ Bright; Brothers-in-law, Sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Abraham and Nancy Dalpiaz, RN at the Cleveland Clinic for their compassion and dedication.
Visitation will be held on Friday at the Summerfield Funeral Home from 5pm – 8pm.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 25th at 10am.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lisa’s life.
Rev. Bradley Barton will officiate and interment will follow in Bright’s Chapel Cemetery in Dry Fork.
