Roger William Channell Sr 1957-2015 Obituary
Roger William Channell Sr., 58, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg.
Roger was born Friday, March 29, 1957 in Philippi, a son of the late Eugene William Channell and Dorothy Lea Montgomery Channell.
On October 30, 1989 in Elkins, he married the former Teresa Lynn Neal who survives in Elkins.
Also left to cherish his memory are three children, Stacie Ellenbecker and husband Andrew of Martinsburg, Roger W. Channell Jr. and Rebecca Channell, both of Elkins, one granddaughter, Kaitlynn Ellenbecker and five siblings, Gary and Dale Channell, Linda Hedrick, Brenda Coffman and Regina Boyles.
Roger was a graduate of Elkins High School and had been employed as a truck driver prior to 2009.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spoiling his only grandchild, Kaitlynn.
For the past twenty years, Roger, or Rah Rah as the kids called him, loved assisting his wife TT at T&R Daycare in Elkins. Roger was Pentacostal by faith.
Roger’s request for cremation was honored.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 5P-7:30P.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30P. Rev. Randall “Randy” Montgomery will officiate.
