Sandra Jean Sandy White Buchanan 1955-2015 Obituary
Sandra Jean “Sandy” White Buchanan, 60, a resident of Virginia Beach, VA, passed from this life Thursday, September 10, 2015 at home.
Sandy was born Saturday, July 23, 1955 in Newport News, VA, a daughter of the late Norman J. White and Bonnie Carr White of Valley Bend.
Also left to cherish her memory is her husband Kenneth “Buck” Buchanan of VA, one daughter Angel Treadway in WV, four siblings, Debbie O’Brien in MI, Missy Turley in WV, Norma Fitzgerald in VA and Norman “Jack” White Jr. in VA, four step children, Melody Badiee in FL, Sally Jo Buchanan in IL, Kenneth Buchanan Jr. in VA and Shannon Balram in CA, three granddaughters, Burkley Dewitt, Jacinta and Arezoo Badiee and several other beloved family members.
A former resident of Valley Bend, she was an employee with Tygart Valley Construction at Snowshoe for several years until her illness.
She fought a courageous battle for two years with cancer, always trusting God along the way. While in WV she attended Rivers of Living Water Church (2 Lincoln Avenue, Elkins, West Virginia, 26241), upon moving to Virginia Beach she attended Kempsville COG (4422 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462).
She was loved deeply and was passionate about her family. A visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Monday from 6P-8P.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11am.
Rev. Mike Boggs will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.
Memorial donations may be made to either church in her memory.
