Zylpha Brady Hinkle Perdue 1908-2002 Obituary
Zylpha Brady Hinkle Perdue, 93, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Dolestown Health Care Center. She had been in failing health for the past year.
Born July 6, 1908, in Barbour County, she was the daughter of the late Walter P. Brady and Bergia Knaggs Brady.
She had been a resident of Akron for the past seven years and a resident of Doylestown Health Care Center for the past 16 months.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, A. Creede Hinkle, and an infant daughter, of Buckhannon; and Dan H. Perdue, her second husband, of Fayetteville.
She is survived by a sister, Blossom Thrash of Akron, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Brady, Titusville, Fla., and Helen Brady, Weston; several neices and nephews residing in Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, California, Maryland and Georgia.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Troy R. Brady of Florida, and the Rev. Bland Brady of Clarksburg; two sisters, Rosalyn Sturdivant, Coalton, and Lois Jackson Braghieri, Canton, Ohio.
She was past worthy Matron of the Princeton Chapter of Eastern Star of Princeton.
She was a former member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church and presently a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Akron.
Services will be Monday at Prentice Funeral Home in Akron, Ohio, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Linda Somerville and Dr. Adril Thrash, nephew of Zylpha, officiating.
Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. preceding the services. Interment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery of Buckhannon.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Adril Thrash officiating.
