Agnes Scott Casto, 82, of 21B Norvell Drive, Buckhannon, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at the home of her son, John Casto in Washington.
She was born Dec. 6, 1919, at Ten Mile, a daughter of William Scott and Cora Potts Scott.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Boni Kay and Paul Adamy, Buckhannon; two sons, Donald “Scott” and wife, Lois Casto, Buckhannon, and John “Pete” and wife, Susie Casto, Washington; one brother, Voris and wife, Madeline Scott, Orlando; two granddaughters, Nicole and husband, Rick Reynolds, Hinkleville, and Heather Casto, Troy, Ohio; three grandsons, Dr. Bryan Casto and wife, Kelly, Muncie, Ind., Joel Casto and wife, Debbie, Lufkin, Texas, and Shawn Coakley, Henderson, N.C.; seven great-granddaughters, Emily Coakley and Abby Coakley, both of Henderson, N.C., Meagan Casto and Lauren Casto, both of Lufkin, Texas, Makayla Reynolds, Hinkleville, and Kayla Casto and Madison Casto, both of Muncie, Ind.; one great-grandson, Perry Casto, Muncie, Ind.; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Scott, Buckhannon.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Coy Scott; and three sisters, Vonda Poling, Vera Swick and Mabel Teets.
She was a store clerk for Perce Ross. She was a member of the extension homemakers club, United Methodist Women and was an avid seamstress and quilter. She attended Tennerton United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Fork Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mid-ohio Valley Chapter, 508-a Columbia Ave., Williamstown, W.Va. 26187, or to the Tennerton United Methodist Church, Tennerton, W.Va.
