Alan Jay Currence 1961-2022 Obituary
Alan Jay Currence, 60, of Parkersburg passed away January 27, 2022. He was born February 28, 1961 in Elkins, WV, a son of Mary (Layman) Currence of Parkersburg and the late Luther Ford Currence. Alan was a 1979 graduate of Elkins High School and a member of the EHS Marching Band. Alan was once awarded as the West Virginia Junior Fireman of the Year in Parkersburg WV. Alan was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed camping, family reunions, and ham radio. He is survived by his two children, Sarah Latimer (Corey) of Beech Bottom, WV and Jarred Currence (Jessica) of Beckley, WV, brother, Jeffrey Currence (Karen), sister, Angela Tennant (Manton), two grandchildren, Vivianna Currence and Bennett Currence, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Leavitt Funeral Service and Crematory, 403 7th Street, Parkersburg, WV, 26101 A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM
Friday February 4, 2022 at the Leavitt Funeral Home.
