ALICE CATHERINE ROY KYLE, age 81 years, a resident of the Rosendorf Community, Hendricks, WV departed this life Friday morning, April 23, 2010 at the Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health.
She was born Sunday, November 18, 1928 at Hendricks, WV. a daughter of the late Chester Ray Roy and Myrtle Peachie Davis Roy. On August 12, 1947, she was married to John Fredrick Kyle, who survives. They had celebrated sixty two years of marriage.
Also surviving are two sons, David Allen Kyle and wife Barbara “Joyce” of Hendricks, Robert Wayne Kyle and wife Jan of Parsons; one daughter, Patricia Ann Heeren and husband Donald of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two brothers, Jessie “Stub” Roy of Elkins, Hoy Ray “Pete” Roy of Parsons; two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Davis and husband John of Hambleton, Ida Mae Cross of Glen Burnie, Md.; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is one brother, Donald Roy.
She attended the Hendricks Hill School and the Hamrick School. She was a member of the Hendricks United Methodist Church and the Hendricks United Methodist Women. She was a Homemaker, a noted cook and she loved to crochet. She loved her family and her church.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11 AM. Pastor Loren Metzner will officiate and interment will follow at the McNeeley Cemetery at Hendricks. The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to; The Hendricks United Methodist Women of the Church.
