Amanda Dawn Channell, 34, a resident of Valley Head passed from this life Monday, December 23, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Amanda was born Wednesday, February 14, 1979 in Elkins, a daughter of Gerald M. Channell and Rhonda Kay Beale Channell who survive in Valley Head. Also left to cherish Amanda’s memory are one daughter, Izabella Faith Arbogast, one sister, Molly Cabaniss and husband Chris of Valley Head, three brothers, Mitchell Channell and wife Vanessa of Dailey, Daniel Channell and wife Sarah of Sterling, VA and Nathan Channell of Norfolk, VA, four nieces, Abigail and Hannah Cabaniss and Carly and Jane Channell and four nephews, Wade Cabaniss, Connor Channell and Casey and Shane Martel. Amanda attended Valley Head Elementary and graduated Tygarts Valley High School with the class of 1997. She was a hard worker and had been employed at various locations. Amanda enjoyed outdoor activities including four wheeling and working in her flower garden. She especially loved playing with her daughter Izabella, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held where friends may gather at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 2P-4P at which time a memorial service will be held. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made in memory of Amanda to your charity of choice.
