Mrs. Angelena (Gibson) Williams, 73, a resident of Houston, Texas, formerly of Belington, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in Kingwood Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She had been in declining health.
She was born March 23, 1939, at Belington, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lillie (George) Gibson.
She was twice married; first, to Elihu Channell, who preceded her in death, and second, to Gene Williams, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, one daughter, Linda Moore and husband Ken Knipl; and two sons, Lamar Channell and Chris Channell and wife, Petra. She is also survived by grandchildren, Todd Channell, Kimberly Evans, Marcus Channell, Tyler Channell, Jennifer (Channell) Starnes and husband, Jason, Jessica Weder and husband, Dan, Andy Serrano and Patty Galletti and husband, John; great-grandchildren, Rianne, Jasmine, Zackary, Brian, Brookelle, Dylan, Tyvin, Tyler, Payton, Caleb, Nicholas, Noah, Ashlyn, Kaylee, Sofia, Erick and Wyatt. Also surviving are five siblings, Irene Coontz of Belington, Lucille Kitchen of Martinsville, Ind., Janet Simmons of Florida, Carol Daugherty and husband, Tom, of Belington and Charles Gibson and wife, Karen, of Belington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Bright; and one brother, Donald “Bud” Gibson.
Mrs. Williams graduated from Belington High School. She was last employed by Norton Co. of Akron, Ohio.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. in Concord Cemetery with Pastor James “Oz” Gray officiating. Interment will follow.
