Anna Belle Kelley McLean 1929-2022 Obituary
Mrs. Anna Belle Kelley McLean, 93, a resident of Belington, West Virginia, departed this life Friday evening, Feb. 18, 2022, in the Mansfield Place at Philippi, West Virginia. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born Feb. 16, 1929, at Lewis County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ira Dee and Delphia Jane Bartlett Kelley.
On Nov. 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to Alva McLean, who preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2016.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Bodkins and husband, Delmas, of Belington, who resided with her and was her primary caregiver; two sons, Jeff McLean of Belington and Randall McLean and wife, Gia, also of Belington.
Additional survivors include five grandchildren, Curtis Bodkins, Matthew Bodkins, Erin Hollen, Alex McLean and Adam McLean; and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Kelley, Ted Kelley and Walter Kelley; and one sister, Georgie Miller. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. McLean attended the Shawkey School in Belington and was a member of the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church near Belington. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter and loved to take scenic rides on the weekends. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg St. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jamie Andrews officiating. Interment will then follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery near Belington.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks are recommended while paying respects in the Funeral Home.
