Obituary: Annabelle Yocum Annabelle Yocum, 91, of Rt. #1, Philippi, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Mansfield Place, Philippi, following an extended illness. She was born February 1, 1922 a daughter of the late Franklin Carroll Weekley and the late Abby Virginia (Sprouse) Weekley. On May 25, 1939, she married Sherwood Noel Yocum who preceded her in death on January 16, 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Carol Riffle and Tammy Kay Beohm, both of Philippi; six sons, Thomas Leon Yocum, Belington, Lindsey Noel Yocum, Chalmer Yocum and wife, Patty, Joseph Watkins and wife, Cami, all of Philippi, James Edward “Jack” Yocum, Center Point, W.Va., Paul Franklin Yocum and wife, Diane, Volga; one brother, Hollis Weekley, Moundsville; one sister, Mary Ellen Weekley, Philippi; 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, “Delores” Bowen; by one sister, Betty Weekley and by three brothers, Leon Weekley, John Weekley and by Jack Weekley and by her step-father, Ruble. Mrs. Yocum was a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., the funeral hour, on Saturday. The Stemple & Forman Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
