Arthur D. Schenk, 98, of Route 9, Box 17, Buckhannon, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
Mr. Schenk was born July 17, 1904, in Jerusalem, Ohio, a son of the late Fred and Lizzie May Griffith Schenk.
He married Loretta Sneed Schenk, who preceded him in death on July 14, 1994.
Surviving are one daughter, Doris Mae Rehburg, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Loretta Bodkins, Buckhannon; two stepsons, Eugene Westfall, Grafton, and Russell Duncan, Corapolis, Pa.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Edgar Schenk; one sister, Charlotte S. Johnson; and one grandson, Robert Duncan.
Mr. Schenk was a steel Worker for Pitt-des Moines, Inc.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lester Boylen officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
