ARTIE LOUISE ZIRKLE, age 58 years, a resident of Jimtown, WV departed this life late Thursday evening, June 17, 2010 at the Hospice Care Inpatient Center at Elkins, WV.
She was born Wednesday, September 12, 1951 at Randolph County, WV, a daughter of the late Sylvester Zirkle and Sylvia Janice Davis Zirkle, who survives at Jimtown. Also surviving are two brothers, Sherman Goodwin and wife Sylvia, Harding; David Zirkle and wife Julie, Jimtown; two sisters, Alice Shomo and husband William, Kingsville; Kay Hess and husband Clarance, Teter Creek Lake; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Preceding her in death is one brother, Jackson Zirkle
She attended the schools of Norton and was a member of the Phillips Chapel Church at Jimtown. She enjoyed Special Olympics where she participated in basketball and bowling and had a great love for church, singing and the outdoors.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 7 PM, Saturday. Final Rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 1 PM. The Rev. Jim Murphy will officiate and interment will follow at the Phillips Cemetery at Jimtown, WV.
