Artis G. Davis, age 90, of Brunswick, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Blue Stream Nursing and Rehab in Richfield, Ohio.
He was born on December 1, 1930 in Ellamore, West Virginia to the late Wilford and Valta (nee Rowan) Davis.
Artis served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, for which he received a purple heart.
He enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family, and listening to gospel music.
Artis was survived by his children: Kenneth, Allan, Mark, Rainie; siblings: Everett and Lieuthanna; grandchildren: Kenny, Eric, Tanya, Tasha, Bub, Amanda. P, Philip, Nicole, Amanda, Chase, Chris, Nathan, and Mark; 25 great-grandchildren; and extended family: Betty, Missy, Genni, Hannah, Taylor, K.C., Austin, Mikey, Robby, Kristina, Tom, Baby Ellie, and all the children in the neighborhood that called him “Papaw.”
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Helen; son, Rick; siblings, Bud, Lorn, Jim, Harry, Beanie, Mason, Ruhl, Doug, Don, Sylvia, Lillian, and Macil; and grandson, Ryan.
The Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick was entrusted to handle the arrangements.
