Ashly Dawn Strawder Bush, age 37 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of WV Caring. She had been in declining health
She was born Thursday, March 15, 1984, a daughter of the late Jerry Paul Currence and Marilyn Lynn Westfall and fiancé Tim Gifford of Elkins. On April 20, 2010, at Parsons, WV, she was married to Matthew John Bush, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Zakkary, Jonathon and Nicolas Bonner and Isaac Bush; one daughter, Cadence Bush; one brother, Michael Strawder of Elkins; two sisters, Robin Kapp of Elkins and Heather Watson and fiancé William DeMoss of Parsons; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Tygart Valley High School with the class of 2002 and a graduate of Morgantown Beauty Academy. She was a multi-talented and gifted artist. She owned and operated the After-Glow Beauty Lounge. She enjoyed her customers and was known for giving free kids haircuts at the start of school. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and her family and dearly loved her children.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 11 AM to 12 Noon, at which time a celebration of life will take place. The Rev. Gregory Smith will officiate. Ashly’s wish for cremation will follow.
