Barbara Ann Bodkins Woods, 70, a resident of Norton, passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 30, 2013, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1942, at Norton, a daughter of the late Baxter Rowland Bodkins and the late Bessie Bell Sponaugle Bodkins.
On Feb. 10, 1962, she was married to William C. “Bill” Woods, who preceded her in death July 11, 2011.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Woods Warner and husband, Bill, of Elkins and Lisa Ickes and husband, Dave, of Belington. Five grandchildren, William R. “Billy” Woods of Mentor, Ohio, Toni Shreve of Elkins, Cody Warner of Elkins, Alexis Losh of Kingwood and Lauren Ickes of Grafton; one great-granddaughter, Mallorie Losh of Kingwood; and one niece, Jeannie Sylvester of Norton also survive.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Eugene and Carl Bodkins; and one sister, Icie Carr Keller.
Mrs. Woods was a homemaker and an avid West Virginia University football fan.
Friends may call from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mike Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
