Barbara Jean Fansler 1939-2010 Obituary
Barbara Jean (Shreve) Fansler, 71, of Chenoweth Fork Road, Piketon, OH, died 7:03 p.m. Saturday 13 November 2010 at her home.
She was born 2 February 1939 in Beverly, WV the daughter of the late Carl E. Shreve and Iva O. (Arbogast) Shreve. On 4 May 1963 she was united in marriage to Paul Fansler who survives.
Also Surviving are one son: Eric Fansler of Piketon, Oh, two brothers: O’Dell Shreve and Jesse Shreve and companion Debbie Ware and two sisters: Shirley Roy and husband Buss and Millie Phillips all of Elkins, WV, brother-in-law Ronald Bosley, Beverly, WV and several nieces, nephews, two uncles and several aunts.
In addition to her parents, one sister: Edna Bosley, one infant brother: Carl Junior Shreve and sister-in-law: Elsie Shreve preceded Barbara in death.
Barbara was a member of Bethel Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union a homemaker and Bookkeeper for Reliable Roofing.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, 16 November 2010 at the Bethel Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union, Piketon, OH with Rev. Larry Moore and Rev. James David Smith, Officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. State Memorial Gardens, Elkins, WV, 1:00 P.M. Wednesday 17 November 2010 with Rev. Frank Shreve, Officiating.
Friends may call at the BOYER FUNERAL HOME 6 – 8 P.M. Monday and ½ hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
