Basic RDA5807 UNO Controlled Radio Receiver
I wanted to experiment with various ‘radio on a chip’ designs, I decided to start with the RDA5807FP, so I bought several RDA5807 Chips in a SOP16 package
The RDA5807 is controlled with an Arduino UNO via the I2C Bus, add an LCD1602 for a display, a few buttons for user input, an antenna and a 3.5 audio jack for headphones, and you’ve got a complete radio
I used breadboard hook up wire, without the breadboard, wiring the parts directly together using the hook up wire, planning to install the radio in a 3d printed case after the programming is completed
