Belinda Gail “Bink” VanDevender, White, age 61 years, a resident of Whitmer, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her home. She was born December 10, 1958 at Elkins, a daughter of Wilma Elza VanDevender of Job, WV and the late Oral Emery VanDevender. She was married to Gary White who survives at Whitmer. Also surviving is one daughter, Amanda Price Solachick, Circleville, WV, and Jamen Dudley of Canaan Valley who was like a daughter to “Bink”. One brother, Gary VanDevender and wife Catherine of Whitmer, two grandchildren, Matayah and Treyven Solarchick, a nephew, Joey VanDevender, a niece, Jennifer VanDevender and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Also preceding her in death were her grandparents, Joe and Bertha Lamb Elza and Ira and Betty Sponaugle VanDevender. “Bink” worked several jobs throughout her life and was a homemaker. Her greatest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Job Church of God where she delighted in serving and singing for the Lord. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Job Church of God. For the protection of those in attendance, everyone attending the visitation will be required to wear facial protection and adhere to social distancing requirements. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Whitmer, WV. Pastor Todd Rhodes will officiate and interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the White Family to assist with funeral expenses.
