BESSIE M. CLINE “BOBBI” JUDY, age 84 years, a resident of Elkins, WV departed this life Thursday, March 31, 2011 at her home.
She was born Tuesday, January 25, 1927 at Elkins, WV a daughter of the late George Washington Cline and Lillian Hammond Cline. On January 8, 1946 at Elkins, WV she was married to Wyatt Harper Judy, who survives. They had celebrated sixty-five years of marriage. Also surviving are one son, Wayne Harper Judy and wife Gladys, VA; two daughters, Janice Carol Davis and husband Gary; and Patty Jane Coen and husband Bob, all of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Wayne, Kristopher, Erin, Matthew, Justin and Courtney; and four great grandchildren, Brenan, Wayne Jr., Liam and Danielle.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death are two brothers, Edward “Ed” and Roy Cline; and three sisters, Georgie Cline Carr; Belva Cline Simmons and Mae Cline.
She attended the schools of Randolph County, and had worked at the Elkins Inter-mountain, Fort Pitt Shoe Store and G. C. Murphy’s. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church for over sixty years, where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. She had worked with the Foster Grandparent Program, loved gardening, flowers, writing poems, hiking outdoors, animals, music and her beloved cat, Lucky.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Sunday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel, Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:30 AM. The Rev. Jim Murphy will officiate and interment will follow at the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale, WV. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Hospice Care Corporation, 169 Diamond Street, Elkins, WV 26241 or to the Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1100 South Davis Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241.
