Betty Jean Bartlett Meyer, 72, of Eatonton, Ga., and formerly of Elkins, died Monday, July 29, 2002, at Austell House Care Center in Austell, Ga.
She was born July 8, 1930, at Beverly, a daughter of the late Troy and Luceba Hart Bartlett.
She was married to Peter M. Meyer, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Browne Bartlett and wife, Norma, St. Albans, and Delmar Bartlett, Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Maude “Sue” Verra and husband, Michael, Vero Beach, Fla.; eight nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Pearl Nevel.
She was a 1950 graduate of Elkins High School. She enjoyed camping and traveling. She retired from Maryland National Bank.
She was a member of Manley Memorial Baptist Church in Eatonton, Ga., where she sang in the church choir.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Manley Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Harry Michael officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manley Memorial Baptist Church building fund.
