Betty Jean McCloud, 76, a resident of 4433 Allen Drive in Baltimore, Md., and formerly of Belington, departed this life late Saturday evening, May 4, 2002, at her apartment in Baltimore. She had been in declining health but death was unexpected.
She was born June 18, 1924, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late Walter and Alice Cormany McCloud.
She had never married.
Surviving are cousins, Ruth Ann Moore and husband, Robert Lee Moore Sr., of Belington, Robert Lee Moore Jr. of Belington, Elizabeth Tincher and husband, Calvin, of Belington, Erica Joyce Becker and husband, Harold, of Wheeling, David Michael Moore and wife, Nancy, of Elkins, and Jennifer Moore of Elkins.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Ms. McCloud was a graduate of Belington High School. She was retired from State Farm Insurance Co. after 35 years of employment. She was a long time active member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Baltimore, Md.
Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington from noon to 2 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home parlor at 2 p.m. with Evangelist Michael Phillips officiating with Robert Lee Moore Jr. assisting. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington. A memorial service will be conducted from Hope Presbyterian Church in Baltimore at 6 p.m. Friday, May 17.
