Betty Jean Moore 1962-2021 Obituary
Betty Jean Moore, 59, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at West Virginia Caring Hospice Inpatient Center in Elkins.
Betty was born Thursday, February 8, 1962, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Frank Burns Moore and Hazel Ernestine Scott Moore.
Left to cherish her memory is her only child, Mariah Moore of Elkins, six siblings, Dave Moore of NC, Barb Chamberlain of Elkins, Brenda Harris of Vienna, Phil Moore and wife Diane of OH, Beverly Basil of VA, and Beth Meadows of Elkins, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were two siblings, Steven Moore and Evelyn Kaye Moore.
Betty was a graduate of Elkins High School and was employed as a grader for Armstrong Flooring. She enjoyed gardening, listening to music, and being by the river. Betty was always happy and loved life. Whether it be something in nature, or just daily life, “everything was beautiful to her”.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Monday, October 11, 2021, from 5 PM until 7 PM. Betty’s request for cremation will then be honored.
