Betty Jo Sandy, age 78, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her home. She was born December 29, 1931 at Evergreen, WV a daughter of the late Albert and Nina Tenney Morrison. On August 7, 1948 she married James H. Sandy who preceded her in death on March 27, 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Angelina Carpenter and husband Freeman of Buckhannon and Linda Szuchy and husband Frank of Ambridge, PA; one son, Gary Lee Sandy and wife Janet of French Creek, WV; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother Charles Morrison and wife Ruth of Parkersburg, WV. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son James C. Sandy, and seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Sandy was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friends will be received Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery at Selbyville, WV. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
