Beulah Mae Curtis, age 103, of Buckhannon, WV departed this earthly life and entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1908 in Red Rock, WV, a daughter of the late Harley B. and Rosa Douglas Clark. On April 1, 1934 she married Forrest L. (Punjab) Curtis, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1982. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one great grandson and one sister, Irena Thomas. She is survived by one son, Randy Curtis and wife Chris of Nitro, WV; one daughter, Anna Lee Curtis Talbott and husband Richard of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Lea Ann Rohr and husband Richard of Turkey Run Road, WV, Kim Denham and husband Brian of King’s Mountain, NC, Melanie and Betsy Talbott both of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Tim Murphy and wife Angie of Barrickville, WV and Aaron Gordon and wife Darice of Surveyor, WV; seven great grandchildren and one sister, Alma Flannigan of Clarksburg, WV. Beulah was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. She was a lifelong member of the Lorentz United Methodist Church and was a member of the Lorentz CEO’S for over fifty years. On her 100th Birthday she was proclaimed an official member of the order of the 35th Star by Governor Joe Manchin, III. She was a loving mother and a compassionate and giving person to all. Friends will be received at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 6-8 PM. A celebration of Beulah’s long and blessed life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Lorentz Cemetery. Poling-st.
