Billy Wayne Barkley 1952-2022 Obituary
Billy Wayne Barkley, 69, a resident of Whitmer, West Virginia, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at Talbott Personal Care Home in Belington, West Virginia.
Billy was born Aug. 7, 1952, at Elkins, a son of the late Mack and Louise Cunningham Barkley. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Cunningham; and one daughter, Shelly Barkley.
He is survived by two sons, Weylin Barkley and wife, Jennifer, of Harman and Brent Warner of Circleville, West Virginia; and two brothers, John and Bob Barkley. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Annie Barkley, Tessa Propst; and Alena Barkley; and three great-grandchildren.
Billy graduated from Harman High School and was an avid fisherman. He had worked for years as a carpenter and a heavy equipment operator.
He attended the Whitmer United Methodist Church.
Billy’s wish for cremation was honored. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billy’s honor to the Whitmer United Methodist Church, C/O Pam White, P.O. Box 227, Whitmer, WV 26296.
