Canvas water dish and canvas water pail, both would be have to be completely dry before storing to avoid a common problem with canvas, if its not dry, it will mildrew and smell
Plastic has taken the place of canvas for uses like these
I’m not a big fan of having plastic everything, but in this case, its so much easier to deal with that its worth it
