Another Ben Hunt article, this on is on making Native American shields
The shields had a lot of different uses
It was an Address marker for a teepee, letting everyone know who lived in the teepee
An obvious use was in a battle
Also a way to show creativity
They were uses in dances
And it was thought the shields keep eveil spirits away
W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles
