I consider this one of the worst boy’s life articles the magazine published
This project would be a challenge for an experienced wood worker, and would require more information on the design for it to be successful
I’ve always though Boy’s Life published the minimum information required to build the project they present, but this project is way above the skill level of most adults, let a lone boy scouts, and not eough information is given for any skill level
obviously a ‘fluff’ articles, published to fill space
W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles
