Brigetta Mae Ferguson, 89, of Fairmont, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at Fairmont General Hospital, after a long illness.
She was born in Seibert, Colo., on May 23, 1912, a daughter of the late Tolbert and Ingabe Shoemaker Ferguson.
She is survived by one sister, Lucy Ferguson of Fairmont; three nieces, Edna and husband, Bill Weaver, of Fairmont, Helen Hardesty of Fairmont, and Doris and John Shaw of Virginia; and one nephew, Paul and wife, Patty Ferguson, of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Calvin, William, Carl and Howard Ferguson; and one sister, Lula Ferguson.
She was a homemaker. She attended the Primitive Baptist Church at Montrose. She enjoyed flower gardening, working word puzzles and caring for stray cats.
Friends may call at Frey Home for Funerals today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Primitive Baptist Church in Montrose Friday at 2 p.m. with Elder Velden Linn officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
