Bryanna Hope “Bry” Blizzard Wood, 74, a resident of West Union, passed from this life Monday, September 1, 2014 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. She had been in declining health for several years. Bry was born Monday, July 1, 1940 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Roscoe Blizzard and Opal Thomas Blizzard. On November 21, 1960 in Valley Head, she married Dennis Junior Clay Wood who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are four children, Carla Vee Wood, Roland Marc Wood and wife Pam, Kyra Kay Wood and Douglas Clay Wood and wife Christine, two brothers, Thurman and Allen Blizzard, one sister, Beatrice Greathouse, eleven grandchildren, Dennis Allen Wood Jr., Robert Michael Wood, Rebecca Rhodes, Jason Howell, Michelle Lindsay, Austin Wood, Sasha Wood, Richard Wood, Timothy Wood, Shelby Howell and Heather Howell, and eleven great grandchildren. Preceding Bry in death besides her parents and her husband was one son, Dennis Allen Wood, one brother, Richard Blizzard and one sister, Marilyn Conrad. Bry attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Elkins High School. She enjoyed crocheting, painting ceramics and was an avid reader. Bry’s request for cremation was honored. A visitation with the family will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 1P-3P, the funeral hour.
