Calvin Lynn McCauley 1948-2022 Obituary
Calvin Lynn McCauley entered into the immediate presence of our Lord on January 15, 2022.
He was born December 27, 1948, to Jewel W. McCauley and Nora Ruth Ware McCauley in Belington, WV.
Calvin graduated from Barbour County High School, and then enlisted in the United States Army. After discharging from the Army, he became employed with the Government appraising homes.
He later joined the staff at METRO as a driver. He retired from METRO because of a medical disability.
Calvin and Michelle dated for two years and were later joined in holy matrimony.
After his retirement, he enjoyed maintaining his house and yard, traveling with Michelle and caring for the family beagle, Dagwood.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 13 years Michelle McCauley; and his beagle, Dagwood. He was the youngest of eight children, sisters: Lillian Leoda, Sandra Sue, Helen Eugenia, Nina Lee McCauley Brady; brothers: Jewel Junior McCauley (wife Juanita) of Coalton, WV, Buford Eugene McCauley (wife Nichole) of Goose Creek, SC and Dr. Roger Lee McCauley (wife Betty Lou) of Clemmons, NC; and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jewel W. McCauley and Nora Ruth Ware McCauley.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, Maryland from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland 11:45 a.m..
