Carolyn D. Helmick 1948-2003 Obituary
Carolyn Delorse Lantz Helmick, 55, a resident of Hendricks, departed this life Wednesday evening, April 16, 2003, at the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. Death was attributed to leukemia.
She was born Jan. 26, 1948, at Ellamore, a daughter of the late George D. Lantz and Nellie Marie Davis Lantz.
On Jan. 21, 1965, at Elkins, she was married to Charles Helmick, who survives at Hendricks.
Also surviving are three daughters, Christina Darlene Long and husband, Frank, of Parsons, Angela Dawn Helmick of Belington, and Tina Marie Helmick of Hambleton; five brothers, Ronald L. Lantz, Ludlow, Ky., Bradford W. Lantz, Eastlake, Ohio, Charles L. Lantz, Robert L. Lantz and Eugene W. Lantz, all of Ellamore; five sisters, Reginia M. Tenney of Buckhannon, Ilene J. Malcomb of Volga, Marlene J. Young and Arthelia A. Norman, both of Ellamore, and Remona G. Zickefoose of Buckhannon; six grandchildren, Jennifer Young, Jessica Long, Toby Helmick, Tiffany Helmick, David Leary Jr. and Chasity Leary.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Margie Marie Kelley.
She attended the schools at Coalton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.
The family will receive friends at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Charles Donald Butcher and Pastor Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at Fansler Cemetery at Hendricks. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Carolyn Delorse Lantz Helmick.
