Carrie Tamela “Tammy” Jones, age 61 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, July 12, 2020 at her home. She was born March 11, 1959 in Elkins a daughter of William Ralph Jones of Elkins and the late Carrie Elizabeth Knox Jones. She had never married. Surviving are two brothers, W. Michael “Mike” Jones of Elkins and J. Randall “Randy” Jones and wife Betsy of Elkins. Two sisters, Karen E. Arbogast and Amy R. Knavenshue and husband Mike, all of Elkins. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Tammy enjoyed music, swinging on her swing and loved people, animals and the color yellow. Tammy was truly an angel on earth and thoughtlessly gave after her death with the gift of organs through the Center for Organ Recovery and Education. Services for Tammy will remain private with interment at Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. The family request contributions be made to Randolph County Humane Society, PO Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Tammy. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Carrie Tamela “Tammy” Jones.
