Cathy Lynn Currence Moore, 51, a resident of Elkins passed from this life to be with the love of her life, Allen D. Parrack on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at her home. Cathy was in her usual health and death was unexpected. She was born Wednesday, July 27, 1960 at Elkins, a daughter of the late Bady Ray Currence and Wanda Ellen Pritt Howell. Cathy had attended school at Tygarts Valley. She was a very loving mother and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She loved to cook and share stories of her childhood, but most of all, she cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren. She was a generous and loving person whose smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are two daughters, Misty Dawn Currence of Elkins and Brandy Lynn Kerr and husband, Tim, of Beverly, one son, Eric Shawn Currence of Elkins, two brothers, Roger Lee Currence and wife, Lori, of Warren, OH and Tommy Currence and wife, Melissa, of Elkins, one step-father, Clyde L. Howell, five grandchildren, Breeanna Currence of Elkins, Ian and Shelby Kerr of Beverly, Alexus M. Sharp of Cuyahogo Falls, OH, and Annika M. Currence of Elkins, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death besides her parents and Allen, were two sons, Ricky A. Currence and Allen D. Parrack, Jr., three sisters, Penny Haynes, Bonnie Currence, and Peggy Cross, and one brother, Mark J. Currence. Cathy’s request for cremation was honored. A Celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Monday, March 5, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., the funeral hour. Pastor David Collins will officiate.
