Charles Homer Robey, 81, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
He was born Friday, Aug. 18, 1939, at Beverly, a son of the late Albert Esley and Edith Collins Robey.
On June 2, 1973, at Elkins, he was married to the former Linda Sue Pellen, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Timothy Michael Robey, Phillip Edward Robey and Charles David Nutter, all of Elkins; three daughters, Crystal Marie Howard, Angela Sue Robey and Ashley Dawn Robey, all of Elkins; one sister, Norma Varner, of Beverly; and six grandchildren, Vance Howard, Essley Howard, Dillon Nutter, Contessa Leary, Sierra Leary and Holly Binns.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, Darnell and Vernon Dale Robey, and four sisters, Bertha Shifflett, Laura Kratz, Pearl Lindsey, and Vada Louk.
He attended the schools of Randolph County, had worked for City Bus Lines for 12 years and later worked in construction. He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and making wine.
Mr. Robey’s request for cremation was honored.
