Charlot Ann Zirkle-Casto 1944-2020 Obituary
Charlot Ann Zirkle-casto of Alexandria, VA went home to be with Jesus on October 9, 2020 at the age of seventy six.
Charlot was born to Thomas Eugene and Georgia Pearl (Williams) Zirkle on September 5, 1944 in Cassity, WV.
She attended Tygart Valley High School and later received a Bachelor of Business when she was 50 years old.
She retired as a Program Manager at the US Department of Agriculture as well as an associate at Montgomery Wards.
Every Sunday and Monday evening, Charlot had dinner with friends at the home of Francesco and Annegret. It was the highlight of her week.
She loved traveling to gospel concerts with her sister, Judy, and friends.
She also enjoyed spending time with family and walking her dog, Chase. Charlot is survived by a sister and brother; Judy M. Fox of OH and Thomas E. Zirkle, Jr. of PA. Also surviving her are her sister-in-law’s and brother-in-law; Jean Barbour of VA, Becky Reeves of VA, Mary Casto of WV, and Tim Casto of WV. She is also survived by God Children, Matthew Watson and Mariah Beery along with many nieces, nephews, and her beloved pet, Chase.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Thomas Eugene and Georgia Pearl (Williams) Zirkle, and her only son, Charles Robert (Robbie) Casto.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the Zirkle Cemetery at Cassity, WV.
Rev. Glen Rader will officiate and interment will follow.
The family request everyone attending use masks and social distancing take place at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Charlot would have appreciated donations for breast cancer research at the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. T
