Charlotte Ann Bowers White, age 73 years, a resident of the Chenoweth Creek Community, Elkins, WV departed this life late Sunday evening, April 28, 2013 at Cortland Acres at Thomas, WV.
She was born Thursday, January 25, 1940 at Glady, WV a daughter of the late Bruce Sr. and Evelyn Marjorie Pritt Bowers. She was formerly married to Harlan Leon White, who preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Kelley Denise White and husband Phillip “Craig”, of Canaan Valley; one brother, Bruce “Junior” Bowers, Jr. and wife Geraldine of Elkins; one grandson, Joshua Donovan White, Canaan Valley; her companion James Edward Wood, of Elkins; and five nieces and nephews, Brad; Mark; Tracie; Rhonda; and Crystal.
She was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1957, was an employee of the former Manos Theater of Elkins, had worked as a secretary for the Keim Insurance Company of Elkins; and retired as a bookkeeper for Citizens National Bank with over twenty years of service.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home Friday, May 10, 2013 at 2 PM. Cremation will follow.
