Clara Nell Weaver, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at her home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice. She was born October 1, 1933 in Clarksburg, WV a daughter of the late Walter Rush and Opal Riley Rush Bland. On December 12, 1953 she married Thomas F. Weaver, Jr. who preceded her in death on September 1, 2005. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty R. Miller. She is survived by two sons, Thomas F. Weaver, III and wife Glenna of Pickerington, OH and Russell L. Weaver and wife Linda of French Creek, WV; three granddaughters, Laura May and Amy Adkins, both of Lexington, KY and Carol Brickey of Grayson, KY; two grandsons, Richard and Nicholas Weaver, both of French Creek; two great-granddaughters, Tara and Abby Weaver, both of French Creek; two great-grandsons, Adam Weaver of French Creek and Michael Brickey of Grayson and one brother, John R. Rush and wife Patricia of Sistersville, WV. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Weaver worked at the Union National Bank of Clarksburg, WV and the Central National Bank of Buckhannon. She was a Welcome Wagon Hostess in Buckhannon for several years and a member of Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star. Friends will be received from 5 – 8 PM Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
