Clementa Rose Proudfoot, 74, died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, in Hopemont Hospital, Terra Alta, after a long illness.
She was born Dec. 10, 1928, a daughter of the late John H. and Clementa Cole Proudfoot.
Surviving is one sister, Caroly P. Cox, Spring Hill, Fla.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte J. Booth and Mary Grace Wilmoth; and one brother, John H. Proudfoot Jr.
Ms. Proudfoot was a graduate of Alderson-broaddus College and acquired a degree as a lab technician and served as head lab technician for many years in Myers Clinic and Broaddus Hospital.
She was author of a book in which she wrote about many residents of her hometown.
She was a faithful member of the Philippi United Methodist Church.
