Clifford Jaybo Wayne Light 1940-2014 Obituary
Clifford “Jaybo” Wayne Light, 74, a resident of Valley Head, passed from this life Friday, October 10, 2014 at Davis Medical Center in Elkins. Jaybo was born Thursday, June 20, 1940 in Buckhannon, a son of the late Carol Light and Genevieve Arbogast Light. Left to cherish Jaybo’s memory are eleven siblings, Larry, Ricky, Jeff, Randy, Roger, Joanne, Shirley, Carolyn, Linda, Sandy and Patty, several nieces and nephews and his tea cup chihuahua, Tiny. Preceding Jaybo in death besides his parents was one brother, Ted, one sister, Donna and his loving companion and soul mate for thirty years, Lena Faye Welch. Jaybo served three tours of duty in Vietnam with the US Army. He was awarded four purple hearts, a bronze star and a medal of honor. He was a member of the VFW in Elkins and Buckhannon. Jaybo had been employed at Beckwith Lumber for forty three years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to lay on the couch and watch westerns. A graveside service will be held at the Welch Family Cemetery at Dry Branch on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM.
