Clinton Wilson “Clint” Ross, 87, a resident of 110 Wayne Ave., Elkins, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 21, 2002, in Thomasville, Ga.
He was born Sept. 22, 1914, at Huttonsville, the son of the late Joseph and Ida Mae Shreve Ross.
On March 9, 1942, he was married to Bessie Pearle Murphy Ross, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving are six sons, Samuel Ross, Elkins, Roy, Clinton, Robert, Terry and Raymond Ross, all of Detroit, Mich.; four daughters, Amy Watson, Parsons, Sheila Ross, Beverly, Patricia Hedrick, Detroit, Mich., and Amanda Ross, Lincoln Park, Mich.; one sister, Ruby Watson, Belington; 50 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Ross was employed by Allegheny Lumber prior to his retirement. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the funeral home chapel. Bishop Lynn Muhlestein will officiate and interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville.
